Our health is connected to the health of the land. When we take care of the soil, wetlands, woods, and wildlife habitat on our farms, we know we’re really caring for our own bodies and the health of our community.
This farming adventure is our way to give back, nourish the people we love, and restore the ecology around us. We’re working with nature to produce clean energy (berries!) packed with the vitamins, healthy fats, and antioxidants your body craves.
We’re exploring new ways to turn sunshine into all kinds of craft foods. Our berries are made into jams, juices and award-winning wines.
Farming is our common ground. We honour our ancestors who farmed in this watershed for centuries. We acknowledge and respect the nations and cultures on whose traditional territories we are living, in particular the Mississaugas of the New Credit as part of the Land Between the Lakes Treaty.
We are a community of farmers in Wellington and Halton Region (Ontario, Canada), managing all the aspects of organic production such as pruning and harvesting berries, planting companion trees, applying permaculture principles, mixing compost, planting and tending orchards, regenerative pasture management with heritage cattle breeds, composting manure for biodynamic fertilizer, and maintaining fences and buildings. We wear many hats in the community, from arts, music, and storytelling, to land conservation and environmental policy, to homesteading and maintaining traditional crafts and skills.
